5 Things You Can Do When A Date Goes Wrong

Picture being on a date. It’s going alright until your date has one too many and decides they want to get to know you past your comfort zone. Their hands are busy, words are slurring and not responding to your body language or expressed request to cease their actions. What do you do?

As a dating single it is critical to be aware and alert at all times.  However, there are times when you have done everything you can and a date is doomed to turn sour.  Do not worry this realization has happened to the best of us. What’s important is to emerge unscathed.

Here’s a list of five things you can do when you sense a date going awfully wrong:

* Do Not Panic – When you are dealing with a potentially harmful situation gather your wits, explore your surroundings, and look for a possible escape route.

*Remove Yourself – Create an out by spilling your drink and excusing yourself to the restroom and then disappear.

* Grab Someone’s Attention – You can signal to a waiter, make eye contact with someone around you or talk to someone at the next table.

* Text A Friend or Family Member – They can call you back with an excuse or emergency, meet you and pick you up or call for help.

* Act Uninterested, Irritating, or Indecent – This is an extreme but desperate times call for desperate measures. You can start scratching your skin, hair or do things to repulse your date.

Learning self defense techniques is one way to ensure a ‘creep’ understands you are not his next victim. You do not need to be a martial arts expert to learn and use smart moves that may save your life.
